Safety Precautions

  • ADULT USE ONLY!  Keep Children away.
  • KEEP HANDS AND LOOSE CLOTHING AWAY WHILE IN USE.
  • Read OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS before use.
  • Do not use in any manner not described in operating instructions.
  • Only use a 3-pronged extension cord plugged into a GFCI-protected outlet to power Easy Scaler.
  • Avoid Puddling.  Operate on sloped terrain to channel water away.
  • Restrict water flow to minimum necessary to rinse fish (1/4 turn is usually enough).
  • Do not operate Easy Scaler if any parts are broken or damaged.

Operating Instructions

  1. Ensuring water control valve is CLOSED, attach water hose to Easy Scaler and turn on water at faucet.
  2. Open loading door and place fish inside basket.
  3. Securely latch the loading door closed.
  4. Plug Easy Scaler into an approved extension cord & power source.  BASKET WILL START SPINNING!
  5. Open water control valve just enough for adequate water flow for rinsing fish.  (Excess water flow can cause undesirable puddling.)

When fish are scaled:

  1. Turn off water.
  2. Unplug Easy Scaler from wall outlet.
  3. ALLOW BASKET TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP.
  4. Open door and remove fish.

Care & Maintenance

  • Store your Easy Scaler out of the elements.  The motor is sealed and the steel construction is coated with a durable paint so Easy Scaler can handle getting wet, but storing it under shelter will ensure a longer life.

  • Periodically oil the rinse tube bearing with a little "3 in one" oil.  You'll notice a little flap on top of the bearing-- just open the flap and put a few drops of oil in from time to time.
